Usage Rights
Copyright & Ownership
All images captured by Tina Krohn Photo Studio and Gallery ("Photographer," "we," "us") remain the sole intellectual property and copyright of the Photographer under applicable copyright law, regardless of file format, delivery method, or payment for photography services. Purchase of a session or print product does not transfer copyright ownership unless a separate written copyright transfer agreement has been signed by the Photographer.
License Granted to Clients
Upon full payment for photography services, clients receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal use license to the final, retouched images delivered to them. This license permits clients to:
- Print images for personal, non-commercial use — albums, wall art, and personal gifts
- Share images on personal social media accounts and personal websites, with credit to "Tina Krohn Photo Studio and Gallery" where reasonably possible
- Use headshot and branding images for professional profiles — LinkedIn, casting platforms, company websites, and press — where the session was booked for that purpose
Commercial & Extended Use
Any use of images beyond the personal use license above — including advertising, product packaging, resale, syndication, stock photography use, or use by a business or organization for marketing purposes beyond the original scope of the booked session — requires a separate written commercial usage license and may be subject to additional fees. Please contact us in advance to discuss commercial licensing.
Editing & Alteration
Clients agree not to alter, crop, filter, or otherwise edit delivered images in a way that misrepresents the Photographer's work, apply third-party watermarks or logos, or use unedited proofs for public display or publication, without prior written consent.
Model Release & Subject Consent
For sessions involving models, actors, or commercial talent, a signed model release is obtained prior to or at the time of the session, granting the Photographer rights to use resulting images per the terms of that release. Clients booking a session on behalf of another individual represent that they have obtained that individual's — or their legal guardian's — consent to be photographed and for the resulting images to be used as described in these Usage Rights.
Photographer's Portfolio & Promotional Use
Unless a client has requested and received written confirmation of a privacy arrangement (available upon request, and standard for boudoir and select personal sessions), the Photographer retains the right to use images from any session for professional portfolio display, marketing, website galleries, social media, competitions, and print publication, consistent with standard practice for professional photography services.
Digital Delivery & File Retention
Final images are delivered digitally via online gallery or file transfer. The Photographer retains session archives for a reasonable period following delivery, after which files may be archived or removed at the Photographer's discretion. Clients are responsible for backing up and storing their own copies of delivered files.
Prints & Third-Party Reproduction
To preserve color accuracy and print quality, clients are encouraged to order prints, albums, and wall art directly through the Photographer or a Photographer-approved print lab. The Photographer is not responsible for the color, quality, or longevity of images printed by outside labs from client-supplied digital files.
